The best way to keep up to date with Ashington Cougars

Cup Success for the Cougars Under 10 teams

2 years ago By Marc Oratis

Cup success for both Cougars U10 teams

Well done to both our Cougars under 10 teams who have both progressed to the quarter finals of their respective Knock-out competitions.

A new cup format by the league this year involves both matches counting, just like the champions league but instead of home and away matches there are two games at the one ground. The scores count from both games so there is all to play for and all the players are involved in the match.

The Blacks under 10 after a draw in their first game won their second game to progress to the next round were they face Lower Beeding & Handcross.

The Reds under 10 lost the first game against Hurst colts and had it all to do in the second game. But with a goal scored in the last few minutes managed to squeeze through by the single goal to meet Crawley Down Hammers in the quarter final.

Good luck to all our players this weekend.
